Israel has vowed to press on with its wars in Gaza and in Lebanon, after reporting the killing of the chief of Hamas’ armed wing. The militant group has warned that killing its leaders will not eliminate the group. Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu earlier emphasised that Yahya Sinwar’s death does not mark the end of the war in Gaza but is simply the “beginning of the end”.
