Israel is defying condemnation from Arab states, stepping up strikes into Syria to seal off a buffer zone and stop rebel groups seizing weapons belonging to the ousted Assad regime. Meanwhile, Syria’s new transitional prime minister has called for Syrians who have sought refuge abroad to return to their homeland. It comes days after the country grapples with the end of a civil war, following the ouster of longtime president Bashar al-Assad over the weekend. Trent Murray reports.
