Japanese investment firm SoftBank is the latest company to join the tech pilgrimage to Mar-a-Lago. CEO Masayoshi Son unveiled a US$100-billion investment in the US as he met President-elect Donald Trump in Florida. The move mirrors SoftBank’s pledge when Mr Trump first won in 2016 and comes after donations by Amazon and Meta to Mr Trump’s inaugural committee. Nick Harper reports.
