Asia’s youngest country, Timor-Leste, has been waiting to be a member of ASEAN since 2011. In an exclusive interview with CNA in late 2024, President José Ramos-Horta expressed hopes of joining the regional grouping in 2025, saying his country has done more than enough to qualify.
