US President Donald Trump has unleashed the first salvo of his tariff war with hefty new duties on America’s top three trading partners. Mr Trump signed an order imposing levies of 25 per cent on goods from Mexico and Canada, and 10 per cent on imports from China. He imposed a lower rate on Canadian energy imports.
