The president of the European Commission, Ms Ursula von der Leyen, has unveiled a five-part proposal to mobilise US$840 billion in defence spending. She said the ReArm Europe package aims to help member states, as well as offer “immediate” assistance to Ukraine. Will Denselow reports from Brussels.
