The Trump administration is set to announce measures to reduce the impact of automotive tariffs, with Commerce Secretary Howard Lutnick calling the deal reached with automakers to ease duties a victory for President Donald Trump’s trade policy. The moves include reducing levies on foreign parts used in domestic manufacturing, as well as not charging additional tariffs, such as those on steel and aluminium, on foreign-made vehicles.
