World number one Jannik Sinner reached the quarter-finals after Grigor Dimitrov was forced to retire due to a pectoral injury. The Bulgarian had been in superb form, leading by two sets before the match ended with the score at 6-3 7-5 2-2.
1910 SWIATEK EASES PAST TAUSON
Former world number one and eighth seed Iga Swiatek of Poland eased past Denmark’s Clara Tauson 6-4 6-1 to book a place in the quarter-finals. The five-times Grand Slam champion will next face Russia’s 19th-seeded Liudmila Samsonova.
1738 SHELTON BEATS SONEGO
American 10th seed Ben Shelton battled past Italy’s Lorenzo Sonego 3-6 6-1 7-6(1) 7-5, reaching the Wimbledon quarter-finals for the first time.
1730 ANDREEVA CRUISES INTO LAST EIGHT
Seventh seed Mirra Andreeva eased past 10th seed Emma Navarro 6-2 6-3 to reach the Wimbledon quarter-finals for the first time. The 18-year-old faces Belinda Bencic in the last eight.

Russian 19th seed Liudmila Samsonova beat Spain’s Jessica Bouzas Maneiro 7-5 7-5 in the fourth round to reach her first Grand Slam quarter-final.
1407 BENCIC REACHES FIRST WIMBLEDON QUARTER-FINAL
Switzerland’s Belinda Bencic beat Russian 18th seed Ekaterina Alexandrova 7-6(4) 6-4 to reach her first Wimbledon quarter-final. The 28-year-old sealed the win in just under two hours after Alexandrova saved five match points late on.
1338 COBOLLI BEATS CILIC TO REACH FIRST GRAND SLAM QUARTERS
Italy’s Flavio Cobolli held off a spirited fightback from 2017 Wimbledon runner-up Marin Cilic to win 6-4 6-4 6-7(4) 7-6(3). The 23-year-old, seeded 22nd, is through to his first Grand Slam quarter-final.
