According to EU Trade Commissioner Maros Sefcovic, the US and the European Union are “very close” to reaching a trade agreement. The bloc’s trade ministers have gathered in Brussels to discuss ways to head off a potential 30% tariff starting from Aug 1, threatened by US President Donald Trump.
