Police investigations are ongoing.

In videos seen on social media, two SBS Transit buses are damaged, with the bus at the back having taken the brunt of the impact. SCDF personnel can be seen at the site of the incident, people on the sidewalk near the accident location.

SBS Transit apologised for the incident and said that its priority is the well-being of its 12 passengers who were injured.

In response to queries from CNA, SBS Transit spokesperson Grace Wu said that so far, 10 passengers, as well as its bus captain, have received outpatient treatment, while two have been warded.

She added that the company’s teams were at the hospitals on Tuesday to extend their “care and support and to provide them with assistance”.

“We will continue to render support to them and do wish them a full and speedy recovery,” Mrs Wu said.

SBS Transit added that it was assisting the police with investigations.
