Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has instructed his military to keep on fighting with “full force”, amid growing worries of a ground invasion of Lebanon. He also dismissed reports of a possible ceasefire with Hezbollah, after the US and its allies called for a 21-day ceasefire along the Israel-Lebanon border. The Israeli leader has left for New York to address the UN General Assembly on Friday. Israel and Hezbollah have continued their cross-border strikes. Hundreds in Lebanon have been killed due to the Israeli airstrikes, sparking mass evacuations from Lebanon’s south. Nick Harper and Sarah Coates report from Washington DC and Tel Aviv respectively.
