Countries around the world experienced a night of celebrations to usher in the new year. The festivities kicked off early for countries in the South Pacific Ocean. New Zealand was one of the first to ring in 2025, with fireworks and a laser light show at Auckland’s 328m tall Sky Tower. In Sydney, the city’s biggest-ever fireworks display featured a golden waterfall effect falling from the iconic Sydney Harbour Bridge.
