In a statement to the media, At Area said: “Since the announcement of her marriage, defamation [against Hyuna] has been carried out to a level where we can no longer stand by and watch.
“We decided to take strong action because the production and distribution of rumours that are completely different from the truth have become increasingly serious, especially since the release of the wedding pictorial.”
At Area revealed that they were planning to sue those who were involved. However, they were asked by Hyuna to “show leniency”.
“We would like to emphasise that we will take strict legal action against malicious rumours in the future without any warnings, leniency, or agreements, as a minimum measure to protect her personality.”
