Leaders of the BRICS group of nations have slammed what they describe as “indiscriminate” import tariffs as they meet in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. The joint statement by the bloc of emerging economies did not mention the US or its leader Donald Trump by name. But it comes days before a tariff deadline set by the White House.
