Cardinal electors who are gathered in Vatican City have failed in their first vote to pick a new pope. Black smoke rose from a chimney above the Sistine Chapel, indicating that the conclave will continue until a successor for the late Pope Francis is found. The 133 cardinals will vote again on Thursday (May 8). Olly Barratt reports from Rome.
