The changes proposed by the new US administration have cast a long shadow at the World Economic Forum meeting in Davos. Addressing the summit, European Commission chief Ursula von der Leyen called for global cooperation and a “pragmatic” approach to US President Donald Trump’s new team, while Chinese Vice Premier Ding Xuexiang warned that there would be “no winners in a trade war”.
