With an ever growing number of people getting their news online, being able to work out what’s true – and what’s not – has never been more important. In a world of digital disinformation, one country is often held up as the benchmark for having a media literate population. Finland has topped the Media Literacy Index for the 7 years the ranking system has been in existence. As we mark World News Day, John Bevir reports from Helsinki, on how the country is trying to fight fake news.
