Hamas leader Yahya Sinwar has been killed by Israeli forces, said Israel on Thursday (Oct 17). Sinwar is said to be the mastermind of the Oct 7, 2023 attack that sparked the Gaza war.
Speaking after the confirmation of Sinwar’s death, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said the war in Gaza will continue until the return of the hostages. “We will continue with all our strength until the return home of all your loved ones, who are our loved ones. This is our highest commitment. This is my highest commitment,” he said.
