Passengers heading to Batam and Bintan can now expect immigration to take just 10 seconds – and no passports are needed. The newly upgraded Tanah Merah Ferry Terminal has reopened after a year-long renovation costing S$20 million. Self-service kiosks, automated bag drops, and more arrival and departure lanes have been added. Other new facilities include an outdoor children’s playground. Business travellers can also make use of “flexi” rooms for meetings. Nadine Yeam with more.
