A ceasefire between Israel and Lebanon’s Hezbollah takes effect on Wednesday (Nov 27), after both sides accepted an agreement brokered by the US and France.
Under the accord, Israel will gradually withdraw its troops over 60 days and Lebanon’s army will take control of the territory bordering Israel to ensure Hezbollah does not rebuild its infrastructure there.
