US ally Benjamin Netanyahu is in Washington — the first world leader to make a personal appeal for a tariff reprieve. The Israeli prime minister is also expected to seek more aid for his war in Gaza. Mr Netanyahu’s meeting with Donald Trump will give world leaders a sense of how willing the US president is to budge on tariffs. Mr Trump had imposed 17% tariffs on Israeli goods last week, even after Tel Aviv said it would cancel customs duties on American products. Trent Murray reports.
