TOKYO : Japan’s jobless rate in August fell to 2.5 per cent from 2.7 per cent in July, government data showed on Tuesday.
The seasonally adjusted unemployment rate compared with economists’ median forecast of 2.6 per cent.
The jobs-to-applicants ratio in August declined to 1.23 from 1.24 July, separate labour ministry data showed. The median forecast was for 1.24.
