Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy says it will be clear that Moscow does not want to end its war with Kyiv, if his Russian counterpart Vladimir Putin skips direct talks in Türkiye this Thursday (May 15). The Kremlin has not announced who will be attending, but said it is preparing for the talks. Putin suggested direct negotiations after dismissing calls for a 30-day truce over the weekend. United States President Donald Trump, who has been egging both sides to stop the fighting, has confirmed that Secretary of State Marco Rubio will be in Istanbul for the negotiations. Dasha Chernyshova has more from Moscow.
