The Malaysian king has warned parties seeking the release of jailed former prime minister Najib Razak to respect the federal constitution, and adhere to rules and procedures. The statement issued by the national palace came ahead of the planned rally by opposition parties and supporters outside the palace of justice on Jan 6. That is when the court of appeal is due to decide on Najib’s bid to serve the remainder of his jail sentence under house arrest. Melissa Goh has the details.
