More heavily armed police officers will be patrolling popular tourist spots and public areas like shopping centres, and will provide a faster response in the event of a threat to life. The officers from the counter-terrorism unit, or Protective Security Command, will also be equipped with drones and drone jammers. The move aims to bolster response to public security incidents.
