At some institutes of higher learning, courses in the digital economy – such as data analytics and robotics – are proving popular among those aged over 50. At Singapore Polytechnic, 1,000 people aged 55 and above enrolled in upskilling programmes over the last six months. And at the Singapore Institute of Technology, 23.8 per cent of those who took up adult learning courses were over the age of 50 – up from 18.7 per cent in 2022. Richa Mathew with more.
