Singapore’s sole marrow donor registry is calling for more donors to step forward, as a national survey reveals gaps in awareness and participation in bone marrow donation. One key finding from the poll of over 3,000 people is that minority races in particular have a difficult time finding suitable donors. The Bone Marrow Donation Programme adds that it wants to do more to connect donors with patients in urgent need of transplants.
