A hawker in Bedok has come up with a unique way of selling his chicken rice — in onigiri form.
The owner of Ah Lim Chicken Rice, which opened about three months ago, spent about a month perfecting his recipe.

As each onigiri is made by hand, they’re only available once a week for walk-in customers.
Each serving, which consists of three onigiris, is made up of one rice ball filled with chicken, spicy chicken, and egg mayo respectively.
About 120 chicken rice onigiris will be made from 2pm on Saturdays, and are being sold for an introductory price of S$10 per plate of three.
For those who prefer to get these chicks whenever they like it, Ah Lim also sells them by the box, which is sold at an introductory price of S$50.

Each box consists of 12 onigiris (four of each flavour), quail eggs, sauces and cucumber slices, and must be ordered four days in advance.
Only self-collection is available for the chicken rice onigiris.
