Srisun Express gave away 6,780 free pratas to customers who showed up in Manchester United jerseys on March 6 at any of its four shops.
Each diner in a jersey was entitled to seven pratas each — the catch being they had to wear the jersey and not just bring it along.
This was after the Red Devils were routed 7-0 by Liverpool earlier in the morning at Anfield.
It was Man U’s worst defeat since 1931.
It was also the first time the chain eatery had come up with such a promotion of giving away free prata kosong following a Man United loss.

The offer was to make up for a lousy result.
Srisun Express director Jayanthi Sundar said a lot of fans were likely sad about the loss, so the free pratas could “at least put a smile on their faces”.
She told Mothership: “We were quite prepared for about 10,000 to 12,000 pratas to be given away. We knew what the maximum was to give away, as we started the promo at about 12:30pm, and we knew over 12 hours what would happen.”
The surge was from 6pm to 12am, she said, and added that their central kitchen could handle the load with enough curry to give out.
The promotion was available to dine-in customers at the four outlets in Serangoon Gardens, Ang Mo Kio Avenue 10, Tampines Street 43, and Bukit Batok West.
It lasted till midnight.
Jayanthi added that she was sure the chain could handle the surge in customers and was glad to turn things around for the Man U fans.
“When you walked to any of the outlets, it was just a red sea. What was really nice to see was people saying how did this catastrophe turn into a bonding moment,” she said.
Srisun Express gave away 6,789 pratas by the end of the day to more than 960 diners.
