The International World Aquatics committee says Singapore’s performance as host was a standout success. Its executive director credited the local organising committee’s leadership and efficiency, despite a short runway leading to the championships. Despite a few hiccups, the local organising committee says the nimble reactions to the problems and the way the different functional areas were able to work together puts Singapore in a good position to host more global sporting events.
