A new report by the World Economic Forum has singled out state-based armed conflict as the most pressing global risk for the year. It also highlighted misinformation, environmental crises and societal polarisation as major global threats. The report drew on surveys of more than 900 experts and ranked what they see as the most pressing risks for the year. Experts have called for urgent collaboration to rebuild trust and strengthen multilateral efforts. WEF managing director Mirek Dušek shares how these interconnected crises could destabilise global systems further.
