The US will impose 25% duties on Mexican and Canadian goods and a 10% blanket tariff on Chinese imports from tomorrow, barring any last-minute deals. Canada has unveiled a 25% counter-tariff, while Mexico has pledged to react in kind. Meanwhile, China said it will take its case against the US to the World Trade Organization. Europe also caught in US President Donald Trump’s crosshairs, as he warned that tariffs will “definitely happen”. Nick Harper reports from Washington DC and May Wong reports from Hong Kong.
