Singapore Prime Minister Lawrence Wong says the country stands ready to work closely with US President-elect Donald Trump, in advancing bilateral ties and US’ partnerships in the Asia Pacific. Other leaders have also been offering Mr Trump their congratulations. Meanwhile, for South Korea – a close security ally of the US in the Indo-Pacific – a Trump administration adds an element of unpredictability. It could signal a change in US security commitments and Washington’s policy on Pyongyang.
