As the United States presidential candidates strive to convince voters that they would best serve the country’s economy, America’s electric vehicle industry is emerging as a central focus of the campaign. Some voters recognise the urgency for more electric cars, but others fear the potential effects on dwindling automotive jobs. CNA’s Mitch McCann travelled to Detroit, in the key battleground state of Michigan – and the home of America’s auto industry – to investigate.
