While talking at The Pregnancy Podcast, the celebrity nutritionist revealed Alia's love and cravings for nolen gur sondesh. If you wish to make this Bengali traditional sweet at home, here's a simple recipe.

• Milk • Lemon juice • Nolen gur • Sugar

Ingredients

• Start preparing nolen gur sandesh by boiling milk. Drizzle lemon juice to make curdled milk and strain it nicely. 

Step 1

• Make sure to wash the curdled milk a few times and keep it aside for excess water to drain out. Mash freshly prepared chhena. Add date palm jaggery (nolen gur) and mix the ingredients well.

• In the next step, add some milk and sugar to a kadhai and cook for a few minutes. Transfer the chhena and jaggery mixture to the milk and keep stirring and mixing till its consistency thickens.

• Next, spread it on a plate and let it cool down. Once done, mash it gently once again and give your desired shapes.

Homemade nolen gur sondesh is ready to serve.
