Bhagyashree shared a recipe for Pakhala Bhata, a delicacy from Odisha filled with prebiotics which is good to combat the October heat.
-Cooked rice -Buttermilk -Oil -Cumin seeds -Asafoetida -Curry Leaves -Ginger -Dried red chillies
First, soak cooked rice in a bowl of buttermilk and keep it overnight.
Make a tadka of cumin seeds, curry leaves, asafoetida, ginger and dried red chillies.
Pour the tadka over the bowl of rice fermented in buttermilk.
Your Pakhala Bhata is ready! You can eat it with a fish preparation or brinjal or potato dish.
