MasterChef’s Gary Mehigan was recently in Vietnam and he had a lot of fun there.
He was accompanied by Chef Matt Preston on this trip and as you can imagine, they had a lot of fun gobbling up local Vietnamese food!
According to Chef Gary’s Instagram post, he discovered Vietnamese food when he arrived in Australia in 1991.
The chef loves the “fresh, crispy, crunchy, juicy, sweet, sour, hot, funky textures & flavours” of Vietnamese grub.
As per his post, this was his 4th visit to Vietnam.
The chef enjoys “tucking into a bánh mì, bún chả, and slurping on a bowl of hot pho” while he is in Vietnam.
Chef Gary Mehigan can’t get enough of local speciality bánh cûon and says the dish puts a “massive smile” on his face.
The chef promised that he would visit the country again as he finds the Vietnamese food “irresistible” & the people there quite “welcoming & happy.”
