Neha Deepak Shah shared a recipe for Burmese Tofu Salad made with Burmese tofu which is very high in protein.

-200 g Burmese Tofu (Cut into Strips) -Carrot & cucumber juliennes -2 to 3 Shallots (for frying) -4 to 5 Cloves of Garlic (for frying) -1 tsp Oil -1 Shallot (cut into rings thinly) -Some coriander, spring onion greens -2 to 3 tbsp of Tamarind Juice (Soak dried tamarind in water & strain) -1 tbsp light soy sauce - 1 chilli (thinly sliced) -1 tsp Jaggery -A little salt -Juice of 1 lime -Spring onion whites from 1 stalk - Crushed Peanuts & crispy garlic / onion

First cut the Burmese tofu into cubes.

Saute chopped onion and garlic and keep them aside once they brown.

Make the dressing with tamarind juice, soy sauce, jaggery, salt, lime juice and thinly sliced spring onions and chillies.

Add the chopped Burmese tofu in the dressing and let it soak the dressing.

Add the chopped veggies, crushed roasted peanuts and spring onions. Your Burmese Tofu Salad is ready!
