Celebrate grand festivities by making decadent Malpuri at home. Mounika Erukulapati (@indiancuisinecorner) shared a reel showing the recipe for this famous Guntur dessert.

• 2 cups sugar • 1 cup maida • 1 cup wheat flour • 4 cardamom pods • 100 grams unsweetened khoya • 1/2 cup milk • Oil

• Pour 1.5 cups of sugar into a pan and add a cup of water. Cook till sugar dissolves and then add cardamom pods. Boil for a few minutes.

• Next, prepare a smooth and lump-free batter by mixing maida, wheat flour, 1/4 cup of sugar, and 2.5 cups of water.

• Once the sugar has dissolved, use a ladle to pour enough batter to fry. Deep fry both sides till you get the desired golden-brown colour.

• Remove excess oil and dip them in the freshly made sugar syrup for a minute.

• Meanwhile, prepare a mixture of unsweetened khoya, warm milk, and 1/4 cup of sugar.

• Layer the fried treats with this sweet paste and fold them.
