We grew up relishing imli golis as a kid. Chef Neha Deepak Shah added a twist to its recipe and prepared amla candy. Here's how you can make these bites at home.

• 500 g amla • 150 g jaggery powder • 1/4 tsp hing • 3/4 tsp chilli powder • 1 tsp jeera powder • 3/4 tsp black salt • Salt • Black pepper powder • Caster sugar
• Start the candy-making process by steaming fresh amla.

• Deseed them and blend them into a smooth and fine paste.

• Transfer the amla paste to a pan. Add jaggery powder and mix for a couple of minutes.

• Next, add hing, chilli powder, jeera powder, black salt, salt, and black pepper powder. Cook on a low flame till the mixture thickens well.

• Spread the amla mixture on a plate and let it cool down.

Once done, make small candy-shaped balls and coat them with caster sugar or jaggery powder to enjoy amla candy's tangy flavours.
