Digital creator Priyanka Kapoor (@dillifoodies) shared her mother’s special Achari Amla recipe, which you should try at home this winter.
11-12 amla 3 big green chillies 7-8 ginger juliennes 3-4 tbsp mustard oil 1/2 tbsp cumin seeds 1/2 tbsp mustard seeds 1/2 tbsp kalonji 1/2 tbsp saunf 1/2 tbsp jeera ½ tsp turmeric powder 1 tsp coriander powder 1 tsp red chilli powder Salt 3-4 tbsp jaggery powder Hing

1. Cut the amlas & steam for 8-9 mins. 2. Once done, separate the slices from the seed, and keep them aside.
3. Heat some mustard oil in a kadhai and add hing. 4. Then add all the seeds and allow them to splutter.
5. Next, add some chopped green chillis, ginger & steamed amla and saute them.
6. Then, add the dry spices and the salt to taste and cook for another 4-5 mins. 7. Once well sauteed add jaggery powder and mix well.
And that’s it. Your Achari Amla is ready to be enjoyed with rotis and puris.
