Ameyyaa Mahajani has a lip-smacking Prawn Cocktail recipe which you must try this Christmas.

10-12 small prawns (peeled and deveined) 2 tbsp of vinegar 2 bay leaves 8-10 black peppercorns 1 lemon (juiced) 2 tsbp of mayonnaise 2 tsp of tomato ketchup 1 tsp of Tabasco sauce Fresh parsley (finely chopped) Fried garlic Salt to taste

Add water to a pan and let it comes to a boil. Then, add the dry spices, vinegar and lemon juice.

Add the prawns and let it cook in the flavoured water.

To make the sauce, add mayonnaise, ketchup, parsley, salt, Tabasco and mix it all together.

Add the poached prawns, once they have cooled, to the freshly made cocktail sauce and give it a good mix.

Present the Prawn Cocktail in a cocktail glass and garnish with parsley and fried garlic.
