The much-awaited first trial run of the Namo Bharat Rapid Rail took place in Mumbai on early Monday morning.

Previously known as the Vande Metro, Namo Bharat Rapid Rail's first trial started from Ahmedabad to Mumbai.

According to several reports, the trial run was conducted at a maximum speed of 130 kmph.

Indian Railways' Research, Design, and Standards Organisation (RDSO) team participated in the trial run on Monday.
