In a pan, mix sugar, milk and cornstarch. Heat but don’t boil until well-mixed. Take it off stove.

Cut bread into small pieces and add it to milk. Mash well. Add Vanilla Extract and stir.

Make caramel syrup by cooking sugar in water. Coat a pan with the syrup and pour in the mixture.

Boil three cups of water in an electric cooker, stovetop cooker or a normal pan.

Carefully steam the mixture for 25-30 mins.

Remove the pudding from the steamer and let it cool for a while.
