Prawn Ghee Roast, Anyone? 

Food vlogger MrChef shared a recipe for Prawn Ghee Roast, a Mangalorean delicacy loved by many.

Ingredients 

1 kg of prawns (peeled) 20 dried red chillies (without seeds) 1 & 1/2 cups of water 2 tbsp of vinegar 1/2 tbsp of Kashmiri chilli powder 1/4 tsp of turmeric powder salt 1 tsp of salt 1 stem of curry leaves 1/2 tbsp of coconut oil 1/2 ripped tomato 10 shallots ginger medium size 10 garlic cloves 2 tbsp of ghee 2 tsp of mustard seeds 2 stems of curry leaves 1 & 1/2 tsp of salt

Step 1 

Cut the dried red chillies, remove the seeds and soak them in water and vinegar.

Marinate the peeled and devined prawns in chilli powder, turmeric powder, curry leaves, coconut oil and salt.

Then, blend the soaked red chillies, shallots, tomato, garlic and ginger.

Roast the marinated prawns in ghee and keep them aside.

Step 4

On the same pan, add ustard seeds, curry leaves and salt and roast them. Later, add the tomato paste and mix well.

Step 5

Finally, add the cooked prawns and keep mixing till the gravy thickens. Your Prawn Ghee Roast is ready!
