Homemade Ginger Candies

Akshada Desai Lobo makes Ginger Candies with just a few ingredients you'll surely have in your kitchen. A perfect winter cure.

Ingredients 

- 150g of ginger - 300g of jaggery (can use 400g if you want to make it sweeter) - turmeric powder - pepper powder

Step 1 

First, wash, peel and cut the ginger into small pieces.

Step 2 

Add the ginger into a blender to make a paste.

Step 3

Add the ginger paste and jaggery pieces in a pan and keep mixing it on medium heat till they melt.

Step 4

Add the spice powders to this mixture and keep stirring. You will know it's well done when it doesn't melt in water.

Step 5

Spread them out on a plate and let it cool. You can also shape the mixture into balls once it cools. Your Ginger Candies are ready.
