Sri Lankan Green Chilli Sambal

Taking you straight to the land of Sri Lanka, this Pachai Milagai Idi Sambal recipe by South cookery is a must-try.

Ingredients 

4 to 5 long green chillies 2 garlic cloves Curry leaves Salt 1/2 tsp of jaggery 1 medium sized onion (chopped) 1 to 2 tbsp of tamarind extract (concentrated) Sesame oil

Step 1 

First, roast the chopped green chillies, curry leaves and garlic cloves in sesame oil till the chillies turn slightly brown.

Add the fried chilli mixture into a mortar with jaggery and salt and crush it with a pestle.

Then, add the chopped onion and crush that as well.
