1345 MURRAY’S WIMBLEDON JOURNEY ENDS AFTER RADUCANU WITHDRAWS FROM MIXED DOUBLES

Emma Raducanu has withdrawn from Saturday’s mixed doubles match alongside fellow Briton Andy Murray due to a wrist issue, ending Murray’s Wimbledon career.

“Unfortunately I woke up with some stiffness in my right wrist, so therefore I have decided to make the very tough decision to withdraw from the mixed doubles tonight. I’m disappointed as I was really looking forward to playing with Andy but got to take care,” Raducanu said in a statement.

Two-time singles champion Murray was knocked out of the men’s doubles with his brother Jamie on Thursday after withdrawing from the singles competition following a back operation.

1219 HUMBERT SETS UP ALCARAZ CLASH

French 16th seed Ugo Humbert beat American Brandon Nakashima 7-6(9) 6-3 6-7(5) 7-6(6) in a rain-affected third-round clash. Humbert faces defending champion Carlos Alcaraz in the fourth round.

1004 RAIN DELAYS START OF PLAY

Matches on Court Two and the outer courts are delayed due to rain. The temperature is around 13 degrees Celsius (55.4°F).

0945 POUILLE WITHDRAWS DUE TO INJURY

Frenchman Lucas Pouille pulled out of his third-round clash with Australian ninth seed Alex de Minaur due to injury.
