Members of the Shanghai Cooperation Organisation are meeting in China’s eastern city of Qingdao, amid US and Israeli strikes on Iran and an uncertain Middle East ceasefire. The summit is also a venue for the first face-to-face meeting between Indian and Pakistani defence ministers since their worst military clash in decades in May. Meanwhile, US Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth has held a news conference at the Pentagon to address US strikes on Iran. Deborah Wong reports from Shenzhen and Neha Poonia reports from New Delhi.
