What could be a better tribute to the late Christopher Reeve, the actor who first played Superman on the big screen, than having his real-life son Will Reeve make a cameo in the new Superman movie?

The 32-year-old Will was seen embracing director James Gunn in behind-the-scenes photos and videos taken in Cleveland, where the movie is being made. The movie is expected to hit cinemas in July 2025.

In a case of reel life mimicking real life, Will, who is an actual ABC News correspondent, will be playing a Metropolis TV reporter in the film.

The late Reeve played the Man of Steel and his alter ego Clark Kent in the first four Superman movies in 1978, 1980, 1983 and 1987.

In this latest version written and directed by Gunn, David Corenswet dons the iconic red-and-blue suit.
